Good news from the Doctors!!

We had our annual check up with the Pulmonary Clinic down at Children's Hospital today for Ari. It was a little sooner than one year due to her recently coming down w/ RSV & Pneumonia at the same time. SHE DID AMAZING! Her little lungs sounded so good, he didn't even think an X-ray was necessary! He said her overall health is really good for CDH baby! She even went up a BUNCH on the growth charts! When she was 2 she was hanging out on the 3rd % for weight, and today she was at the 25%!!! Plus her height has gone up too, she is in the 10th%!! The docs really couldn't have been more pleased! We were, as always, curious how her Pectus was doing. He didnt seem to concerned at all, and said normally the only reason these are ever corrected with surgery is for cosmetic reasons when someone is older.(pectus or Pectus Excavatum, is when there is an indent in the chest, in between the ribs. Ari has this due to her lungs growing at different rates the ribs do not grow properly). Anyways, long story short it was good news, its not bothering her lung function at all now so that's a good sign!
He also set us up with an appt with another clinic at Children's to watch her Scoliosis. It doesn't appear she has it too severe, there is really nothing until after your major growth spurts (puberty) that they need to do other than watch it.

All in all it was a very good positive appt! We like those! Ari got McDonald's afterward as promised!

She was really scared before, so the receptionist gave her this puppy named "Pugsly" who now she just loves!

OMG, Ari had RSV & Pneumonia??? When did this happen? Was she hospitalized? I'm glad she's doing alright! Alexis has very slight scoliosis too & she's being followed.

Love your blog! I should update mine too but I can't find the time!
